PROJECTS.
Hearth & Hideaway- Brighton, VIC
What started initially as a goal to create a space to welcome friends for entertaining - became a haven for connection, grounding and healing conversation through a more natural and organic modern environment. Tapping into the client's ancestry and creating a moodboard that spoke of warm and inviting tones, this client's home became a little tucked away sanctuary. Featuring a hand refurbished vintage buffet , living room wall adorned with a muted nordic forest mural wallpaper, upcycled oversized rattan pendant lamp and a custom dried botanical dining halo arrangement for curious conversations over cups of tea.
Velvet Jungle Boudoir- Park Orchards VIC
For this bedroom, the design began with the velvet botanical bedding, which instantly set the tone for a rich, moody, and tactile retreat. To complement its lush palette, I repainted the walls in a deep forest green, wrapping the space in a cocooning atmosphere that enhances both rest and romance.
The original ceiling lights weren’t working with the desired look, so I rewired the pendants into wall-mounted fittings. This not only freed up space on the bedside tables but also created a dramatic vertical glow — warm golden light washing over the walls, textured with shadows.
Luxury was introduced through a play of colour and touch: the sculptural boucle headboard adds softness and contrast against the green walls, while accents of burgundy, brass, and layered prints bring depth and indulgence. Every element was chosen to balance function with atmosphere, transforming what was a ordinary bedroom into a moody- 'boutique hotel' bedroom.
The Nature Nest- Greensborough, VIC
I had the joy of working with a young family eager to infuse their bedroom with warmth, character, and soul—all while keeping the design rental-friendly and enduring. In our early conversations, they shared a tender story of how they first met while traveling: two free spirits whose first “home” was a small green tent tucked beneath trees and starlit skies on their backpacking adventures. Now, with their second child on the way, they wanted their bedroom to echo that same romance and sense of belonging that once defined their earliest days together.
Drawing on feng shui principles, I softened the mirrored wardrobe doors with custom decals, transforming their reflection into a tranquil forest scene. To frame the view, I introduced gentle curves and a whisper of Japanese zen along the side panels. For privacy and atmosphere, sheer curtains filtered the outside world, allowing light to linger softly while shielding them from the neighbor’s fence. At the heart of the room, a live-edge timber headboard became the grounding element—its organic form symbolizing strength, stability, and the deep roots of a growing family, steady and enduring through every season of life.
Epoch Olive Grove Retreat - Heathcote, VIC
In need of a style rejuvenation, the creative minds at Epoch Olive Grove embarked on a quest for an Australiana-inspired fusion, infused with a down-to-earth, wholesome ambiance. Despite the challenges posed by Melbourne's lockdowns, the team collaborated remotely to orchestrate a comprehensive styling overhaul for this stunning Airbnb.
Drawing from an eclectic array of sourced second-hand vintage pieces, we curated a rich tapestry of furnishings that exude character and charm. Harmonizing with the serene surroundings, a soft and natural color palette was meticulously selected to impart a sense of tranquility and warmth throughout the space. * installation and styling of items actioned by owner under Leana's remote assistance*
The Honey Den - Park Orchards, VIC
A full Living room refresh using a blend of vintage of organic modern furniture. Leana hand painted the feature wall with mustard/honey tones blended to give a Mediterranean aesthetic finish. The goal was to showcase the large Japanese crane statement artwork that was sourced from a flea market. Including a prized vintage set of Alrob walnut stained drawers with brass handleware and accents throughout - and a fun play on styling asymmetry.
Bespoke Aztec Headboard - Park Orchards VIC
This bedroom was conceived as a space that entertains, inspires, and reflects the young gentleman’s vibrant, playful personality. Central to the design, I crafted a bespoke timber Super King headboard with a rebated LED strip offering multiple lighting modes—for relaxing, reading, or entertaining. The lighting also responds dynamically to music, creating an immersive, rhythm-driven atmosphere.
The backboard features an Aztec-inspired engraving, softly illuminated to evoke the glow of ancient hieroglyphs, while flanking shelves and hidden compartments provide both display and secure storage for treasured objects. Every detail was designed to blend functionality with a sense of intrigue, making the headboard both a centerpiece and a personal sanctuary.
